Fun on Campus
We were back out Treasure Hunting as part of Campus Breakout this week. Here’s the account of what went on (it’s a good one!) again through the eyes of Mr Omenaka… Five of us went out and headed towards Happiness Cafe. When we were there, we saw loads of people who matched our clues. There was a woman dressed from head to toe in yellow, a man with his left arm in a sling and a woman with a purple...
As we’ve been encouraged to pray over all our situations and people “come, Holy Spirit”, I was praying it over where I work on Friday morning. In the next few minutes, I got a text from one of my word friends, asking me for two tickets to a party I’d been encouraging them to go to. Both of them are struggling in large areas of their lives. I didn’t twig for a bit, but then God reminded me of...
For Buckets of Love, we decided to head down the curry mile, giving out words designed to encourage and bless people. We had a few good encounters, but here’s one that sticks out in particular. When we got to one street Sarah said she had a “really good feeling” about it, so we stayed there for a bit. Soon after we got there we saw a guy and a girl walking towards us so we offered them a word...
Buckets of Love
As part of our weekly ‘Campus Breakout’ we me at KRO oxford road for buckets of love. Here’s Golibé’s account of the afternoon… We were chatting before proceedings began, when a drunken man came over to us and was being loud and obnoxious etc. Ralph, Andy, Emma Nunn and Lucy Garlant were able to pray with him and just minister to him in love. The guy was really impacted by it (from what I could...
So I was at Bethel and on the final Sunday morning someone gets healed of fallen arches just in the worship (no one actually laid hands or prayed) so they gave this out as testimony and then prayed for anyone with fallen arches and joint issues particularly feet and ankles. Over the last few months I had noticed that whenever I had spent along time on my feet my ankles would really ache quite...
Long-Term Back Pain
For many weeks now, due to having to sit at a computer for 10-11 hours a day 5 days a weeks at work, I have long-term debilitating back pain. I have been prescribed high strength ibruprofen gel for this, which I have used on a daily basis for around six months. Last Sunday, I was really fed up with the pain and decided not to use the gel, so that I could tell whether God had healed it if I asked...
On Thursday during Welcome Week, we did a treasure hunt at the University of Manchester. We had a few clues leading us to the library area. We got there and spoke to a few people but not that much was happening. We saw a girl with a couple of clues on Simon and Iona’s map so they went over to speak to her. As they were walking over, she started walking away, so they had to follow her for ages...
